Prevention Method for Electronic Auctions Fraud - Feedback Forum

Electronic auctions is an auctions conducted by online. Major characteristic is based on dynamic pricing that is not fixed price. Due to this, some of the frauds occur by sellers use others identity to bid with higher price than other real buyers.

One of the easy ways to prevent e-auctions fraud is from eBay feedback forum. eBay Feedback forum can let us know more about our trading partners. We can view those sellers’ reputation and also express our opinion by leaving the feedback on the transaction. These member-to-member ratings and comments help a lot of buyers and sellers in the Community build trust.

For each transaction, buyers and sellers can rate each other by leaving the feedback. The feedback can be positive, negative or neutral rating and also can be a short comment. A buyer can also rate the additional criteria. These detailed seller ratings (DSRs) do not count in feedback score and all are the anonymous. Therefore, sellers will not know the detailed what the other buyers drop and they can honesty tells the story or experience for the transactions.

For a seller as more positive feedback receives the more scores he/she will earn. The feedbacks score correspond with the feedback star are shown beside the member’s ID. Star is the symbol of trust and experience in the eBay Community. With this approach, buyers can reward their favorite sellers not only through the sales transaction also with helping them to spread their services. From this, we can know which seller is can believe.

E-Government in Malaysia: Its implementation so far and citizen’s adoption strategies

E-government is a general term describing the use of technologies to facilitate the operation of government and the disbursement of government information and services. The Electronic Government initiative in Malaysia was launched to lead the country into the Information Age.

It has improved both how the government operates internally as well as how it delivers services to the people of Malaysia. It seeks to improve the convenience, accessibility and quality of interactions with citizens and businesses. At the same time, it will improve information flows and processes within government to improve the speed and quality of policy development, coordination and enforcement.

The vision of Electronic Government is focused on effectively and efficiently delivering services from the government to the people of Malaysia, enabling the government to become more responsive to the needs of its citizens. There have several types of applications of e-Government in Malaysia such as E-Filling, E- service, E-syariah, E-procurement and others.

One of the E-Government project implementations such like E-filing, this E-filling is a program in Malaysia which allows taxpayers to fill in and submit their annual income tax returns online through the internet.

However there have some problems encountered by user which is the people who lack of knowledge in using computer to fill up their income tax forms through internet, normally teenager will only have knowledge for surfing net. Besides that, users don’t have confident to use e-filling system because they will worry about their privacy data and the tax return will be viewed by other people.

The good suggestion to encourage more citizens to use the e-government application is government should create a campaign to show the usefulness of the application to the citizen. On top of that, the government needs to improve the security of the application so that hacker can’t easily hack into the website to steal the customer data.

Corporate Blogging: A new marketing communication tool for companies

A corporate weblog is published and used by an organization to reach its organizational goals.

Blogs are a good way to spread your message to your public—and to inform employees of company policies and activities.

So how does corporate blog helps the organizations??

● promote the sharing of information of work-related matters. Since blogs can be easily updated, they are used as a part of newsletters or company Intranets. This helps employees to keep themselves informed on all the current happenings in the organization. Blogs also allow employees to display their expertise on a particular topic, thereby becoming a recognized industry or subject "expert".

Example of the corporate blog implementation and its effect

Dell established a way for customers to share product development ideas through IdeaStorm. A core team looks at new ideas that come in, assesses them, and then figures out a way to incorporate those into the business. Dell has received about 9,000 ideas from the community, with over 600,000 comments. An example of one idea is getting Dell to integrate Linux. To show you how effective it was, Dell put out a survey and in 8.5 days received 100,000 responses from customers. Now customers are aware that they can influence product development at Dell and it's resulted in the development of a community of loyalists.

Pros of corporate blogs
● giving corporations and obscure brands the ability to connect with their audiences on a personal level, to build trust, collect valuable feedback and foster strengthened relationships

● conduct their public relations activities through blogging by posting press releases and updates about new company products and services on the blog

Cons of coporate blogs
● Some employees may use blogs to write negatively about the company, leading to bad publicity.

● There have been dozens of cases of workers warned or fired because of something they wrote on a blog

● Make many organizations look like disorganizations, with multiple tones and opinions. Contrary to what some might think, the average customer prefers it if the organization they are about to purchase from is at least somewhat coherent.
